Author Aaryanna Abbott interviews her character Lead Auren of Maidstone for The Blackened Tablet Series: A Crown Forged By Victory’s Consequence.

Aaryanna: Can you refrain from inappropriate language and actions during this interview?

Auren: I can try, though I worry for you.

Aaryanna: For me?

Auren: It seems highly unlikely you will keep your wits about you, having to look and interact with a stunning male like myself.

Aaryanna: I appreciate your concern.

Aaryanna: Do you have a celebrity lookalike?

Auren: Stephen Amell during his stubbly hair phase, but much more handsome.

Aaryanna: How did you get your scars?
Auren: When I was four, I wandered away from our village and was attacked by a wolf. Would you like me to remove my tunic so you can examine the rest?
Aaryanna: I’m good, thanks.

Aaryanna: What is one word that describes you?
Auren: Gorgeous.
Aaryanna: Really?
Auren: On second thought, honest. *Aaryanna rolls her eyes*

Aaryanna: What relaxes or calms you down?
Auren: Hard labour. There’s nothing quite like sweat glistening my torso before it rolls down my back when I–
Aaryanna: Don’t even say it.
Auren: I was going to say when I’m chopping wood. Who has the dirty mind now?

Aaryanna: What do you not like about yourself?
Auren: My skin looks hard, not baby soft like Prince Aedyn’s is.

Aaryanna: Who is your current lover?
Auren: Be more specific. Last night? Last week? After this interview? It changes by the minute. I’m fairly certain it will be this interview’s stenographer within five minutes of this discussion’s conclusion. *Aaryanna rolls her eyes*

Aaryanna: As far as magic is concerned, how did you fare with the power you were granted?
Auren: I got screwed. I was an expert at the bow before receiving my power. Once I received my ability, I realised I could control my arrow’s trajectory. It doesn’t even have to be a straight line. It could be around a corner. Not sure what I would shoot around a corner since I don’t know what’s around it, but it’s a neat trick.

Aaryanna: If you found a genie, what would you wish for?
Auren: Romantic love. There are times when I wish a woman would love me intellectually and not for the delicious curves of my physique and the expert hand I apply when granting them pleasure.
Aaryanna: I’m done.
*Frustrated, Aaryanna abruptly stands and walks off*
Auren: I thought you wanted candid? *Auren grins at the stenographer.*
